INTERNET SAFETY for KIDS

Tuesday, August 4, at 7:00 pm, Social Hall 

Presented by Sunflower House, the first Children’s Advocacy Center in Kansas, helps parents and other caring adults stay current on the ever-changing issue of online safety.

In a special evening presentation, they will discuss topics usually covered in their Keeping Kids Safe Online Training, designed in conjunction with the Overland Park Police Department and the FBI Cyber Crime Task Force.

Topics will include

  • Practical safety tips and tools

  • Internet and social media safety, including gaming systems, music devices, other wireless/internet communications, apps and AI

  • How to report cybercrimes, scams and exploitation

  • Mental health awareness, concerns and how to get help.
